Paratransit and Taxi Services

Information regarding paratransit and taxi services in Las Vegas: Word .doc format or .pdf format

Para transit transit will be available to SILC Congress members. Congress attendees who are already certified to use their local Para transit need to call the Regional Transit Commission of Southern Nevada directly and apply for Visitor Status.

They will ask you for your name, address, telephone number and you will need to fax them an eligibility from your local transit agency.

When calling to arrange your pick up, leave yourself ample time (i.e. at least one hour after your flight lands) so that you will have time to get your luggage. On your return flight, leave three hours ahead of schedule to allow enough time for travel to the airport and checking in. The airport is approximately 17 miles from the hotel. If you decide to go anywhere else while in Summerlin, NV, 1-3 days notice is requested in advance for each of your trips.

The RTC Para transit Service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The system operates within the urbanized area of Clark County as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

RTC suggest you call immediately to make sure there is plenty of time to have you added to their system as a rider. Trips cost anywhere from $2.00 to $4.00 depending upon the destination and time of day.
