Emergency Preparedness for Individuals with Paralysis

About the Project

The Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) will create opportunities for Ohioans with paralysis, and their family/support systems, to increase the education and development of skills needed to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency/disaster including preparation, response during and recovery in the aftermath.

Eligibility: Applicants must be a 501C3 that serves individuals with paralysis.
Length of Awards: Each award will be for 9 months
Anticipated Number of Awards: An estimate of 5 to 6 awards will be funded.

Applications Due:  7/17/2020
Award State Date: 9/1/2020

Application Release: The Applications for funds will be released on 6/1/2020. The applications will be located on and can be obtained by request by contacting the Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council.

There will be a pre-bidding call TBD with Marcie Roth from Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies discussing best practices in emergency management and preparation for individuals with disabilities. To register click here
